What is Regenerative Therapy?

Regenerative therapy is a cellular-level therapy derived from live-birth umbilical cord tissue, that aims to improve the function of damaged or degenerated tissue by introducing cells to replace damaged cells. The regenerative products are obtained from live-birth umbilical cord tissue from full-term live deliveries after receiving consent from the donating parents. The donated tissue and cells undergo extensive medical testing to ensure safety.

Depending on your individual needs, directly into the joint space or you may receive therapy via intramuscular injection. Your regenerative medicine specialist will discuss your particular therapy method with you before you receive therapy.

The cost of regenerative therapy is low compared to the out of pocket costs of surgery.  And the continued pain and time lost doing the things you would want to do. The cost per patient depends on the severity of the degeneration and the number of areas being addressed with therapy.

Very rarely one may experience a “healing crisis” like symptoms. As the body responds to injury/trauma, it sends healing cells to the affected area. This can cause increased inflammation and other discomfort. This can last for a few days but is totally normal should it happen.

Regenerative therapy is not covered by insurance at this time.
